about

Ok, so here I am again. Back. Been almost five years since my last musical effort. Been going through some rough times both mentally and physically. But with the help from my brothers in Darklite, I was able to find myself again. So here we are. Yet another guitar track from T-101.

Except it's not yet another track. I spent literally weeks with this. Trying to remember how the fuck Reaper works. Trying to remember how the fuck guitars work. With tons of determination I was able to complete this. Wasn't an easy journey.

Originally this track was entered into the Black Valley 2023 Black Metal Music compo. It did not fare well, seeing as this is not black metal. But I thought to myself: "There is a fucking metal music compo - I will enter this there". Turns out people had entered actual black metal songs there and this track was nothing the like. So that was a thing that happened.

In any case - It really felt good to be back on the horse. Making new music, feeling alive. Might not be my finest hour, but shit - it's done, it's out there. And I feel good about this shit.

Also: I had to *really* mix this down for this to make it to this compilation. I tend to mix my stuff LOUD, on the border of clipping without clipping. But I really had to sacrifice a lot of db with this so that it would meet the requirements of this compilation. I did my very best, and I feel that this version of the track still retains the force and power it was made to be.

Kippis, with love: T-101
