We are the Songs began as a silly piece of satirical music 30 seconds long about a particular website which is always overly dramatic when it's site exploded into a zillion pieces resulting in a loss of a lot of its uploads (
8bc.org, hey guys). It was just for a bit of fun on IRC, but later I developed the tune into an idea to smash a few genres together for shits 'n giggles. Inspired a bunch by demoscene music, my uncle's death metal band Bolt Thrower, and Mike Oldfield d(^-^d). Produced entirely in Renoise with a bunch of VSTis including EWQL. I can tell ya, this piece certainly made good use of my 3 x 22" monitors <3 So yeah, this is the result of everything I've learned since late 2008 when I decided to ditch my hardware studio and start tracking. Speaking of tracking, I must throw out a few greetz to my crew from modarchive.org: Alpha_C and Saga Musix are my copilots and unsung heroes of the upload screening of the archive for the last couple of years, thank you guys for helping the cause <3. Massive greetz fly out to Ziphoid and the Scenesat crew (hello fnord!) for making this compilation possible as well as the kick-ass demoscene radio station. I have to admit that I goalololol'ed when I was notified I was to be included on this volume *awesome* d(^-^d). I do believe it may now be time for some nightbacon, so I will leave you with a bunch of greetz again: \o/ to Deltafire, De_Gopher (kev), jantore, tacticalbread, syphus, meaty, rc55, leblane, parapete, truck, Raven & addie (thanks for the button logo!), malodix, 4mat, ne7, alk, mog, urs, las, jua, iks, rez and all the other 3LN tribe out there! m0d out. (b^-^)b <3 Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa <3 d(^-^d)
